Richard L. Evans
Richard was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area where he also began his adult working life as a school teacher. He received his college education at the Maryland State Teachers College at Towson (now Towson University) where he met his future wife, Carolyn. They have two surviving children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In 1975, he and his family “got lucky” when they moved to coastal North Carolina. He has produced, directed and performed in numerous professional and amateur theatrical shows. He now owns his own business, Poor Richard’s, selling paint. He is also a writer and illustrator and is the author of two published novels, Life of the Eagle and The Short Happy Life of Davey Monroe.
